Recent events in England now reveal the practical difference between terrorists and
protesters. It would seem that terrorists peacefully hold placards and get
immediately arrested, while protesters wear black uniforms and balaclavas and
disrupt infrastructure and do not get arrested.

How did we get into this mess? How have we placed ourselves in the position where
terrorism legislation is used to detain and prosecute peaceful protesters, while those
adopting the terror tactics of private armies seem to be free to do as they wish?

@consumablejoy sorry for the late reply, but - I recently discovered [Raptitude](https://www.raptitude.com) and in particular his framing that:
- obstacles are doors
- a way to motivate oneself is to focus on the reward on the other side of the door
- the way to open that door (or knock it down, if necessary) is to [Just Do The Thing](https://www.raptitude.com/2026/05/how-to-just-do-a-thing/)

It seems blindingly obvious, but for my ADHD it's incredibly powerful. He has a free [Fix One Thing](https://snow-city-media-raptitude.kit.com/8ec669c986) course that gives simple, detailed instructions for *how* to do a thing, and I find myself going back to it a lot when I'm blocked due to brain weasels!

The $2 trillion of take or pay commitments only become active as data centers come online and they can’t. One aspect of the financial disaster I don’t think can emerge it’s going to happen with the hyper scaler certainly.

It’s hard to know if failure of data center completion simply takes that obligation overhead and shift sit onto the hyper scalers because their own debt obligations are contingent on these contracts.
